Currently we are recruiting a Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess experience defining project scopes, obtaining costs for projects, and creating accurate project budgets across our Facilities Services and Environmental businesses.

Responsibilities include:

• Review bid documents to determine the project scope of work, site-specific conditions of importance, and contract requirements. Ensure all required information is provided and catalogued accordingly.
• Request required information for accurate proposals via RFI Process.
• Define accurate and complete scopes of work to provide Vendors and Subs.
• Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price.
• Run Preliminary Building Design using in-house design software.
• Prepare Cost estimates including project Durations.
• Evaluate subcontractor input for scope inclusion. Identify scope gaps and overlaps.
• Update and maintain the company's CRM.
• Assist in the quote evaluation and selection of vendors and subcontractors.
• Prepare Customer Quotation and forward to responsible Sales Representative.
• Prepare construction budget when PO is issued against Steel Nation Proposal.
• Maintain a controlled List of Subcontractors and Vendors that will contribute to Steel Nation’s fiscal success.
• Schedule and attend kickoff meetings as needed with Operations, Accounting, and Engineering.
