As an Environmental Field Technician, you will be gaining valuable field experience while collecting specialized data from municipal water/wastewater systems which is used to help improve these systems. Responsibility Summary - Environmental Field Technician :
- Installation of flow monitoring systems within sewer lines.
- Installation of rainfall monitoring equipment.
- Input data into software systems which may include geographic information system software (GIS).
- Inspect sewer manholes manually or with telemonitoring equipment.
- Operate and maintain instruments and equipment.
- Accurately document inspections in a timely manner with detailed field notes.
- Adhere to all the safety requirements of the position while assisting team members to do the same.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualification Summary - Environmental Field Technician :
- High school diploma
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with the ability to operate a company vehicle
- Ability to detect, resolve and report equipment issues (strong electrical and mechanical aptitude preferred)
- Strong computer literacy with the ability to effectively utilize commonly used computer software programs (experience with GIS strongly preferred)
- Ability to perform all of the physical requirements of position
- Preferred experience/knowledge with field data collection
