We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our leadership team and support our CFO in managing the financial operations and strategic planning of the organization. This is a high-impact position that will play a key role in financial reporting, compliance, capital management, and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and statutory accounting principles (SAP)
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and risk mitigation related to investment accounting
  • Support the CFO in managing statutory investment reporting, cash flow forecasting, and capital allocation strategies
  • Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings, including annual and quarterly NAIC statements and related exhibits
  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support executive decision-making
  • Assist in the evaluation of reinsurance economics, investment accounting, and enterprise risk management strategies
  • Assist and mentor accounting staff and collaborate cross-functionally with underwriting, operations, and compliance teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Prior experience in the insurance, reinsurance, or financial services industry required (life insurance or annuity experience highly preferred)
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP and SAP accounting principles
  • Strong understanding of statutory reporting, risk-based capital (RBC), and insurance regulatory frameworks
  • Proficiency with general ledger systems and financial reporting software (e.g., Oracle, Sage Intacct, or similar)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
