Sr. Maintenance Engineer/Mechanic - atmosphere + vacuum furnaces; electro-mechanical

Commercial heat treat seeking experienced maintenance professional with experience troubleshooting, refurbishing, and repairing vacuum, atmosphere, and open-fire heat treating equipment and furnaces.

Job Duties:

• Preventive maintenance schedules (weekly/monthly/yearly) for:

a. Heat treat equipment

b. Non-heat treat equipment

c. Building/grounds (housekeeping)

d. Tools

e. Validation log for probe checks

• Manage and measure equipment down time, including:

a. Equipment down frequency

b. Equipment down cause

c. Equipment down man hours

d. Call-In phone log

• Oversee critical spare part inventory system
• Responsible for implementing the philosophy of total quality and the use of quality control (statistical problem solving and customer service) techniques within their position
• Assist in building or repairing of baskets, quads, etc. or fabrication or modifications 

Requirements:

• Must have experience working heat treating equipment
• Working knowledge of vacuum and atmosphere furnaces a huge plus
• PLC/HMI skills preferred

This is a SENIOR LEVEL role and requires at least 5 and ideally 10+ years of applicable experience. Opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to "own" the maintenance department and manage things their own way.
