About the Role

We’re hiring Medical Insurance Collectors to support a growing revenue cycle team in Houston. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates looking to advance their career in AR follow-up and medical collections with long-term growth potential.

Important Details

• Must be local to Houston – training is fully onsite for the first 30 days
• Eligible to work from home after training based on performance
• Full equipment provided for remote work

Responsibilities

• Investigate and respond to insurance inquiries quickly and professionally
• Research and correct claim errors for clean claim submission
• Follow up on accounts to secure timely filing and payment
• Review EOBs, post payments accurately, and calculate allowable amounts before patient statements are approved
• Initiate appeals when necessary and ensure payments meet No Surprises Act (NSA) requirements
• Stay updated on payer policy changes and adapt collection strategies
• Consistently meet and exceed departmental goals

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical collections/insurance AR follow-up experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial payors (BCBS, UHC, Aetna, Cigna, self-funded plans)
• Familiarity with EOBs, HIPAA, ICD-10, and CPT codes
• Hospital or physician practice experience preferred
• Out-of-network collections or NSA/IDR knowledge is a plus
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
