We have an outstanding temporary-to-hire opportunity for an Office Assistant or Medical Receptionist with a vibrant Doctor's clinic in Genesee County. This is 40 hours a week. Monday-Friday.
Performs a variety of reception, scheduling, and clerical duties under supervision of Office Manager. Acts as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, facilitates appointment scheduling, and supports daily operations of the medical office.
Greet and assist patients and visitors in a courteous, professional manner
Schedule, coordinate, and reschedule patient appointments
Check in patients, verify and update insurance and demographic information
Copy insurance and ID cards; ensure accuracy of patient records
Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries per office protocols
Collect payments, issue receipts, and reconcile daily cash drawer
Prepare daily charts, encounter forms, and appointment schedules
Maintain and update medical records accurately and confidentially
Maintain organization of lobby and front desk area
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
6+ months experience in office setting
Proficiency in medical office procedures and computer systems
Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
