Paid Search Manager

Location: Chicago, IL – Hybrid (3 days in office/ 2 days work from home)

Scale Marketing is looking for a Paid Search Manager to take ownership of planning, building, executing, and optimizing paid search campaigns across a diverse portfolio of clients. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you’ll collaborate with leadership, analytics, and creative teams to deliver ROI-driven results. You’ll have the opportunity to influence strategy across multiple media channels, lead a growing team, and work with some of the most respected brands in their industries.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the paid search thought leader for top-tier clients.
• Develop and execute PPC strategies that surpass KPIs and drive ROI/ROAS.
• Manage campaigns end-to-end—planning, bidding, optimization, and reporting.
• Analyze performance daily and deliver actionable insights to clients and teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on media mix modeling and campaign integration.
• Build strong client relationships and uncover new growth opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of paid search experience (agency or client-side).
• Google & Bing expertise/certifications required; Amazon Ads a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, BI tools, and statistical modeling.
• Experience with tags/pixels and Google Tag Manager.
• Skilled communicator with polished client presentation abilities.
• Proactive problem solver with a startup mindset.
• Knowledge of DSPs and social buying platforms a plus.
