Listed is the base hiring salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. The salary range listed is just one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered to candidates.

Min = $27.89

Mid = $34.86

Max = $41.83

Summary:

The Physical Therapy Assistant aids the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy treatments. The Physical Therapy Assistant may, in accordance with state laws, assist in development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, direct activity programs, and document the progress of treatments.

Responsibilities:

• Provides treatment to patients using therapeutic exercises and activities to restore, maintain, or prevent decline of a patient’s physical function as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Provides training on therapeutic programs to patient and family members as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Documents patient treatments, and progress, and regularly informs the Physical Therapist of patient status.
• Coordinates and communicates with support staff to ensure continuity of treatment and maximize department efficiencies.
• Enhance professional growth and development of self and others through participation in educational programs, continuing education, and team meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• HS/Equivalency Diploma
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• 1+ years related experience in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Must have a valid license to practice as a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Arizona.
• BLS (AHA)
