A renowned academic hospital dedicated to serving the culturally diverse community of Queens is hiring a Psychiatrist, Director of Ambulatory Behavioral Health Services.

Responsibilities

• Play a crucial leadership role in the Integrated Outpatient Adult Services and general outpatient psychiatric services.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of a large multi-disciplinary service
• Recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of all staff within the Behavioral Health Services department.
• Providing leadership and strategic direction to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care and outcomes.
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary leadership team to enhance service integration and effectiveness.
• Demonstrating a strong academic interest in teaching and supervising psychiatric residents.

Qualifications

• MD degree and board certification in Psychiatry.
• 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Current New York State Medical License, Medicaid number, and DEA number.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
