Pride Health is hiring for a Radiation Therapist to support our client’s medical facility based in Galesburg, IL . This is a local contract or travel contract opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Summary:

Under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist, the Radiation Therapist performs patient-specific radiation therapy procedures. The therapist will support patient care from simulation to treatment, ensuring safety, accuracy, and compassionate care throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Reviewing medical charts, treatment time, and prescribed dose
• Assisting in simulation and localization procedures
• Educating patients on treatment process and side effects
• Positioning patients and operating treatment equipment
• Observing patients during treatment and reporting concerns
• Performing quality control testing
• Maintaining supply inventory

Equipment Used:

• CT/Simulator
• Varian Halcyon Linear Accelerator
• Aria RO for oncology management
• Epic EMR system

Required Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
• Ability to interpret and apply treatment plans accurately
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Prior experience in patient education and comfort techniques

Certifications & Licensure (Required):

• ARRT Certification – Radiation Therapy
• Active Illinois IEMA License
• BLS Certification

Facility/Unit Info:

• Brand-new department launching with a mobile Halcyon and mobile CT simulator
• Full training provided by equipment vendor prior to go-live
• Adjacent space includes clinical area, exam rooms, and office support
• This will be the active working space while a new, permanent oncology site is being constructed

Additional Information:

• Location: Galesburg, IL
• Job Type: 13 weeks- local contract or travel contract
• Schedule:5x8s (40 hours/week)

8-hour days (Monday–Friday; potential shift times 7:00–3:30 or 8:00–4:30)

• Pay Range/Salary Range: $2966/wk to $3166/wk
