A Sr. AEM Developer is available courtesy of Akkodis. We are seeking a Senior AEM Developer to join our Digital Experience team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade solutions using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and related Adobe Cloud technologies. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Java, OSGi, Sling, JCR, and RESTful services , along with a strong consulting mindset and experience delivering global projects. This position requires excellent communication skills, independent problem-solving, and a passion for leveraging modern tools, including AI-driven solutions, to drive success.

Sr. AEM Developer job responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement scalable AEM backend solutions using Java, OSGi, and Sling.
• Build and customize AEM components, templates, workflows, and services to meet complex business requirements.
• Integrate AEM with third-party applications and services using REST, SOAP, or other APIs.
• Contribute to frontend development and collaborate with architects, QA engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality end-to-end solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure solution quality and stability.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in AEM 6.x development with deep understanding of AEM architecture.
• Experience with AEM Cloud migration projects ; familiarity with AEM as a Cloud Service is preferred
• Strong proficiency in Java, Servlets, JSP, and JavaScript.
• Exposure to FE technologies and ability to build end-to-end solutions independently
• Solid understanding of OSGi framework and Apache Sling.
• Experience with JCR (Java Content Repository), Sightly (HTL), and CRXDE.
• Hands-on experience in AEM workflows, replication, dispatcher setup, and caching.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Adobe AEM Developer certification preferred.
