Job Description:
We are seeking a Test Engineer II to support Google’s test engineering team. The engineer will be responsible for designing test plans, authoring test cases, setting up test environments, executing manual tests, and reporting defects. The role requires strong testing fundamentals across large-scale, web-based, and device ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Setup and maintain test environments
- Execute manual and automated tests
- Identify, document, and track defects
- Lead test strategy and planning discussions
- Validate customer scenarios and user flows
- Perform Backend, API, Compatibility, Compliance, Accessibility & Mobile testing
- Conduct Carrier, Device, Globalization/Localization testing
- Work with multiple automation tools
Required Skills:
- 5–8+ years of testing experience
- Strong knowledge of large-scale web systems
- Solid manual testing and defect reporting skills
- Experience with test automation tools
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Experience in API/Services testing, mobile testing, device testing, backend testing
