Job Title: Phlebotomist
Location: Mount Kisco, NY
Contract: 03 months with possible contract with to hire
Shift:
Option 1: Shift start & end times: 8:00am -4:30 PM M-F - Rotational Saturdays 8:00am - 1:00pm
Option 2: Shift start & end times: M-F 9:30am - 6:00pm, rotational Saturdays 8:00am - 1:00pm
Hours Per week: 40 hours per week
Description:
What are the top responsibilities for this position? (Please be as detailed as possible as to what tasks will be conducted on a daily basis): Draw blood for pediatric through geriatric patient population. Process lab specimens including verifying patient identifiers, barcoding, centrifuging, pouring off, accessioning, prepping packing lists, packaging at correct temperature. Phlebotomists follow all Phlebotomy SOP and OSHA Safety/PPE guidelines.
Must have qualifications/experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, Phlebotomy Certification preferred
What skills/attributes are nice to have, and will set a candidate apart ? Prior blood drawing experience for all age groups, ekg experience
Type of certification required: Phlebotomy certification is preferred
Dress code/scrub color: Navy Blue
Is travel required for this role? If yes, when and how often? occasional coverage may be needed at Katonah or Yorktown draw stations
Will they travel to more than one location within a work shift? yes, if mid-day coverage is needed
Will work take place in a patient's home ? No
